Google Classroom Instructions
When accessing google classroom, have your child first sign on to Google as if checking their email.
To do this, they will use the first 4 letters of their 1st name followed by the first 4 letters of their last name, followed by the first 4 numbers in their 9# (their username for spelling city). That is their user name, then follow that with @granitesd.org
In the right hand corner of the screen you will find 9 dots. Click there, this will give you a bunch of google icons. Pick the green one that looks like a chalkboard. That is google classroom.
When you get into that, you will have the streaming page.
This page has A LOT of information on it. But as you scroll down, you will see a video from me, as well as a little welcome letter. If you continue scrolling, you will see a suggested daily schedule.
Under that is a box that has ALL of the websites we will be using throughout our journey online.
If you click on the 'classwork' tab at the top, you will see all of their assignments divided by subject. Have your student pick one item from each folder each day. Where possible, have them complete the assignment and turn it in. If it is just a worksheet, have them print it out and complete it, or use a separate paper to record their answers.
